Poke, poke, poke
It was a busy day of poking and prodding, with five doctor appointments today! I met with endocrinology and they increased my glyburide dosage slightly, since I have been struggling with my glucose levels in the mornings and evenings. It is a relief to know it is nothing that I am doing or not doing, and the extra meds will enable me to eat a reasonable number of calories and carbs again. Two more weeks and my insulin needs should taper off. Meanwhile, baby was a wild little one during his BPP. He completed all 8 tasks in 14 minutes, with some really good flexions. He is 'practicing' his breathing a lot, making it to 20-25 seconds a couple of times, and finally to 30 seconds toward the end of the 14 minutes. During the NST, I felt like I was watching "Alien" because he was moving so much. I could literally see my belly moving side-to-side. Quite humorous! I had one contraction during the NST, but hopefully we still have 3-4 more weeks and baby can put on a little more weight before he makes his debut.
