Picture Worth 1,000 Words

We had a family and friends baby shower in hubby's hometown. Thank you to everyone who joined me! Baby will be one well-dressed little man, and I was so happy and relieved to get some of the essentials like a new travel stroller system and baby monitor. Yes, I had one minor meltdown a few weeks ago, half-jokingly and anxiously telling hubby that they would not let us take our baby home until we got a car seat. After the shower, it took a solid hour or more to assemble and figure out the contraption. They say pictures are worth 1,000 words, but the instruction manual only has pictures and arrows. Talk about operator error. Hubby, his mom, and another friend were climbing all over each other, yanking on the bassinet, trying to figure out what should be a very simple mechanism. The trick? Push down slightly, then pull up. This week, we will be practicing the motions before poor baby is in the car seat, and attempt to install it in the car.
