Nesting and the Nursery

On Saturday, I have my first baby shower with friends. They are keeping the theme a surprise, so I am excited! We've also gotten a few gifts in the mail, and some friends who cannot attend the shower have stopped by with gifts. It's making things feel a little more real, relieved some of my anxieties, and we are getting excited. Hubby assembled the crib (we still need a mattress and bedding) and will finish some painting and projects around the house this weekend. I don't feel like I am 'nesting' anymore than usual, but he is definitely in work-mode for which I am thankful. We got some window blinds for the office, so a guest can sleep in that room now and a storage ottoman on-sale at Target. Hubby also installed another closet organizer for me upstairs, since I am moving my clothes out of the main floor closet to make room for baby stuff and linens. Speaking of which, we got the cutest baby bath towel - that looks like a shark! Next weekend, we are having a family baby shower.
