Your baby has fingernails

Now that I've made it through the first trimester, I am catching up on baby reading! This is the beginning of week 13, so according to the Kids Health Pregnancy Calendar, the placenta has developed and is providing baby with oxygen, nutrients, and waste disposal. The placenta also produces the hormones progesterone and estrogen, which help to maintain the pregnancy. Baby is about the size of a peach! I like that the pictures are looking a little less like a sea monkey, and I think it's fun to compare baby's size to produce!
