Hubby and I started our baby registries at Babies 'R Us and Target. It was actually fun and he had a lot more to say than he did with the wedding registries! :) So far, we just picked out some major things, including nursery furniture(crib, high dresser, dresser, rocking chair), and a bedding set. We also picked out a baby stroller and car seat system (it was recommended that we buy new and not use the hand-me-down from a friend), an umbrella stroller, and pack and play. I want to look at Consumer Reports and get advice from other people before I register for the smaller stuff. Advice and suggestions welcome!

I would recommend a mobile for hanging on the crib - we really like the rainforest one from Fisher Price. We also use the F.P. rainforest play gym all the time. I wouldn't bother registering for clothes, you'll get tons at your shower anyway.
