38 weeks and 2 days

Baby passed his BPP and AFI today in 9 minutes. He practiced his breathing right away, so we were happy about that! He had four heart rate increases during his NST, and then the nurse practitioner pushed on him a little and buzzed my belly to get one more. It was supposed to startle him a little bit, but ended up scaring him instead and made him "cry." His heart rate stayed up in the high 180s for several minutes,so I had to sit tight on the monitor for awhile until he eventually settled down. Sorry about that, peanut! The nurse practitioner was a little concerned about my glucose levels and glyburide dosage, something to do with my hormone levels and possibly an aging placenta. Protocol seems to be a growth ultrasound, BPP and NST, which were all done recently and normal. So, I am waiting to hear from my doctor on whether we will push up my induction date and go closer to 39 weeks.
